Caraway Nonstick Ceramic Cookware Set (12 Piece) Pots, Pans, Lids and Kitchen Storage - Oven Safe & Compatible with All Stovetops - Marigold

Have had for less than a month and coating chipped into food I do NOT recommend these at all. They are unsafe and poorly made. After lots of research, my husband and I splurged on these just over a month ago for our very first set of legit cookware. We have used hand me down mismatched pots and pans for decades, so this was a big deal to us. I liked the look of them and we were initially (wrongfully) impressed by the nonstick aspect working really well. Because the care and use instructions specified only using specific types of cooking utensils to protect the nonstick coating, we also splurged on a new set of curved wooden cooking utensils and a matching set of soft flexible plastic cooking utensils. Again- we did everything as recommended per the instruction booklet. But we just used the large skillet tonight for only the second time, over low heat, with a curved wooden spoon for simmering spaghetti sauce and found a piece of the ceramic coating chipped off from inside the bottom of the skillet in the sauce. In fact I found the chipped ceramic in my mouth when I bit down on something gritty in my spaghetti. Turned out to be little shards of the whitish-silver ceramic lining that had chipped off the bottom of the skillet at some point. In. My. Dang. Mouth. Seriously so disappointed and frustrated. Let’s go ahead and just add that to the list of things unknowingly ingested that might give me cancer one day.As an aside, my husband is a stickler for hand washing all the fancy cookware and does all the OCD rule-following when we get nice things. So the skillet was never exposed to high heat, the dishwasher, scrubbing with abrasive materials, or metal/hard/sharp cooking utensils. We followed the instructions for proper care and use so there is zero excuse for it chipping into our food much less on just the second use. We completely regret purchasing these as we can no longer use the large skillet and only got two uses from it total (including ceramic chips in our sauce on just the second use). The bottom of the skillet now has a chip in the paint/ceramic where you can see the aluminum underneath. Buyer beware purchasing these, because we just lost a lot of money and will need to spend even more for a safe replacement but have to wait since we can’t afford it on the heels of purchasing these.
