Cort Gold-A10 Cocobolo – Grand Auditorium Guitar with Case Cort’s Gold Series is designed with a complete focus on sound. What a player hears when playing a Cort Gold Series is a culmination of details and craftsmanship. This grand auditorium Gold-A10 Cocobolo is built with premium solid cocobolo back and sides along with a torrefied premium solid Adirondack spruce top. Cocobolo is a tropical hardwood known for its balanced tone and visually appealing colors of red, orange, brown, and black underneath the natural gloss finish. Beyond its beauty, cocobolo contributes to the guitar’s overall projection and sustain. The solid spruce top is supported by scalloped X-bracing made of torrefied Adirondack spruce to deliver clarity and detail of each note played, whether individually or within a chord. Added appointments on the venetian cutaway body include a cocobolo and abalone rosette, ebony bridge and pins, a genuine bone saddle, and binding made of padauk and maple purfling. The neck is walnut-reinforced mahogany featuring a 25.5” (648mm) scale, ebony fretboard with hand-rolled fret edge treatment, and a 1 ¾” (45mm) genuine bone nut. The padauk and maple binding continue along the fretboard to accent the custom abalone and mother of pearl inlay. Its dovetail neck joint construction delivers solid tone transfer from the neck to the body for improved sustain and comfort. A traditional 3-on-3 headstock features gold Grover® open gear tuners and a cocobolo headplate. A built-in Fishman® Flex Blend preamp system combines an under-saddle pickup and an internal microphone for exceptional live performance. The control layout features volume, tone, and blend controls for easy sound shaping in any stage environment. An added feature is the built-in tuner for quick, on-the-fly pitch adjustments.
